Capture The Atlas has announced the 6th edition of the Northern Lights Photographer of the Year (NLPOTY) with 25 amazing Aurora images from all over the world and I'm super happy to be represented with my image "The Red Flame" from the Wadden Sea National Park in Northern Germany!

Experiencing such an intense show was truly awesome and I’m grateful to have witnessed this special event in my home country.

Ich freue mich sehr, euch hier die neueste Folge des Videopodcasts von Stefan Schäfer und Felix Röser präsentieren zu dürfen, in der ich als Gast eingeladen war, mit den Beiden zu fotografieren und ein bisschen zu plaudern!

Das Format stellt verschiedene Landschaftsfotografen im Portrait vor und gibt zudem einen Blick hinter die Kulissen. Gemeinsam waren wir am Walchensee unterwegs, wo ich meine Arbietsweise mal ein bisschen vorstellen durfte. Hier könnt ihr euch das Ergebnis ansehen. Big names such as Marc Adamus, Cath Simard or Daniel Laan are mentionedamong many other talented professional photographers, which makes me even more happy that my name is listed there, too!

The renowned photography page CaptureLandscapes recently published an article about the most inspirational female landscape photographers in 2020 and I am very delighted and proud to be mentioned in that prominent list! View all artists here.

Capture The Atlas has revealed its annual choice of northern lights photographs of the year and I'm delighted to be represented with my image "... from above", captured in January 2019 in Lofoten Islands, Norway!

This image is a composite out of two single exposures taken within six minutes: one for the house, mountains, and reflection, and one for the Northern Lights. During the trip I had the pleasure of seeing the Aurora dance in the sky, but just for a short time, so I created this image trying to represent that ephemeral moment.

Thanks a million to Capture The Atlas for selecting my image among so many breathtaking Aurora shots from brilliant places and photoraphers! It's a true honor!

"Laura Oppelts Reise von Oberbayern ins Reich der Trolle, Nordlichter, Mitternachtssonne, Fjorde und Berge"

Zusammen mit The HEAT company nehme ich euch mit auf eine visuelle Reise durch die Jahreszeiten im Norden Europas.

Während meiner 16-monatigen Zeit in Trondheim, Norwegen, habe ich die Produkte von The HEAT company ausgiebig testen können. Was die Handschuhe zusammen mit mir alles erlebt haben und was meine absoluten Favoriten sind, seht ihr hier!

The frensh photographer and friend of mine Stef Kocyla invited me to take part in a little interview about travels, gear, the impact of social media, life in Norway and a lot more.

Das Outdoor Magazin "Aktiv in den Alpen" hat gefragt und ich habe Rede und Antwort gestanden. Herausgekommen ist ein umfassendes Gespräch über die Fotografie in der Bergwelt. Wir sind dabei auf Themen wie persönliche Motivation, Highlights und Schlüsselerlebnisse sowie über Ausrüstung, Nachbearbeitung und Tourenfindung bzw. -planung zu sprechen gekommen.

 An alle interessierten Deutschsprachigen: ich hatte vor Kurzem das große Vergnügen, vom Landschaftsfotografen Nicolas Alexander Otto (nicolasalexanderotto.net) für seinen "Landschaftsfotografie-Podcast" interviewed worden zu sein - ein Format, in dem er allen Fotografie-Interessierten ein paar Charaktere hinter der Linse vorstellt. Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn ihr mal reinhört, denn es wurden schon einige tolle Fotografen und Größen der Landschaftsfotografie eingeladen, ein bisschen aus dem Nähkästchen zu plaudern.
