Namibia

My first foreign journey outside the European continent led me to Namibia, a country full of interesting nature, wildlife and people, located at the western coastline of Africa, where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean.

During two different PhotoPills expeditions in 2024 and 2025 we explored parts of the Namib and Kalahari desert, met wonderful people along the way and encountered lots of wildlife such as mighty elephants, gracile giraffes, zebras, lions, rhinos and many more. A special highlight of the 2024 trip was getting to know the Himba, a local tribe deeply connected to nature with their old traditions and lifestyle.
